Today has been a good day. There’s been quite a lot of things going on lately, among them include my brother getting his pilot’s licence and I found a DVD full of photos from European travels that I thought I had lost! …. Okay, arguably it was a better day for him than me, but anyway this means that the images on this blog are going to get even more euro-centric. Starting with these, unfocused, images of the sky above the city and mountains of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
Always Like This by the Bombay Bicycle Club has been one of my favourite additions to my iTunes in the past couple of years. I’ve been wanting to share it, but I needed a photograph colourful enough to match. The band’s name, Bombay Bicycle Club always makes me think of the Rohinton Mistry’s book A Fine Balance which takes place in Mumbai. There are similarities between the lyrics and the book, mostly about the detriment that stagnation can have on society, but I won’t bore you further with my interpretation. Read the book, it’s very good and by a Canadian…. oh, fair warning though, it’s also very long.

i’ve never appreciated the term “euro-centric” as much as i just did. ❤
I know, I’ve never seen it used positively (thank you arts degree!) but I thought, why not?
