One morning I was having breakfast with my good friend Phil, and we were discussing the mental benefits of going for a run. He talked about how his brain seems to figure stuff out while he’s jogging only to pop up later like “hey! While you were running- we were working, and we figured some stuff out for ya!” My favourite line to come out of this conversation was when he told me he always thinks his brain is confused with him while on the go like “yo man! It’s cool! There’s no lions!” And now the lack of lions in the YMCA is all I think about when I get on the treadmill.
This post is dedicated to Phil, and, in his honour I’m playing a song from one of his favourite bands. They’re from the maritimes, just like him.
