The Montreal Jazz Fest starts this Friday, which makes me unbelievably jealous. That city is just the greatest place on earth in the summer. Jazz Fest is only the first in a long string of festivals of all my favourite things: music, art, music, comedy, music. Resulting in former-Montrealers to think of the City in wistful tones “Oh Montreal…” We use the same air of appreciation and defense one usually reserves for discussing the latest Meryl Streep role: “Not the right choice? Meryl Streep could play Batman and it would be the right choice.”

Valuable, beautiful sources tell me there is a FREE BARR BROTHERS CONCERT on Saturday. I gave the Brothers a lot of attention near the beginning of my blog: from being an unsigned act, to their record signing, and finally attending their album release concert. Montrealers: you have no excuse June 29, 2013 at 9 p.m. Scène TD de la place des Festivals- get over the the quartier des spectacles!

My ailing body has forced me to take a break and have a mostly sedentary week. During which time, I’ve really been enjoying this mellow tune; it echos the same pace my mental synapses have been firing at.

As I’ve told you many times before, I’m a sucker for strings.
